Think Social Security! Really?

If you’ve already started your Social Security benefits, you’ll be automatically enrolled in Medicare Parts A and B, and should receive your Medicare card three months before your 65th birthday.

If you haven’t started Social Security benefits yet, it’s a good idea to check your eligibility for Medicare now. The first step is to make sure you or your spouse has paid FICA taxes for at least 40- calendar quarters – this qualifies you for free Medicare Part A coverage.
